  • Meet Our Staff

With education and experience in early childhood care
  • Our highly experienced and devoted practitioners  ensure that your child receives the stimulation they need to enhance growth in their physical, intellectual, emotional and social areas of development following the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • Karen and Ruth established Noah’s Ark in 2008 believing that a nursery that served the community would be valued and appreciated. Our vision has become more established with a primary aim to care for children in a strong nurturing environment that offers free flow access to the outdoor area, promotes children’s independence and focuses in on growing children’s well being and social skills.

We are a family setting and believe that parents need caring for too. As parents ourselves, we appreciate the challenges faced with child care and moving our children out of the security of our homes into the big wide world. Equally, there is always the challenge of when is the ‘right’ time for them and us to do this. For these reasons we are careful with families when settling in and to help the process of decision making. We ensure that we provide a homely feel  with friendly practitioners and a quality environment.

    • Auntie Ruth

      Hi, I’m Auntie Ruth
      Early Years Teacher Status
      BA Early Years Leadership
Foundation Degree in Working with Children and Young people
BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies

I am the manager and owner of the nursery.  Establishing the nursery has been one of my biggest challenges and most accomplished achievements and has inspired me to learn more about early years. I am kind, friendly and professional taking the time to get to know each family uniquely, leaving families feeling special and accepted. I’m also one of the messy ‘aunties’ and not afraid of getting knee deep in mud or paint.

      Level 3 Children’s Care
      Learning and development

Back in 2008 establishing Noah’s Ark was the next step from running a playgroup for carers and children in the village alongside Ruth. During the last 9 years I have studied a variety of courses up to level 5 Childcare qualification and have recently been up-skilling my knowledge in the field of special education needs in the early years.

      Team Leader

      Hi, I’m Auntie Katie
Level 3 Diploma Children and Young Peoples Workforce
      Level 2 Team Leader

I have been an ‘auntie’ for 8 years at Noah’s Ark. I started as a volunteer and over the years, not only have I obtained the childcare qualifications needed but I have also secured the role of team leader; which I am very proud of. Being an ‘auntie’ makes me feel like I’m a real part of the family which makes it when I have to say goodbye when the children leave to go to school.

    • Auntie Toni-Anne

      Hi, I’m Auntie Toni-Anne
Working towards level 2 Children and Young people workforce and development

I am a mum of twin girls. My girls attended Noah’s Ark and after they left I volunteered at the nursery.  I had the great opportunity to go back to college to qualify in children’s care and I became an ‘auntie’ I use my time getting to know the children and use my creative abilities to make learning fun and enjoyable.

I am nurturing, passionate and and very caring towards all the families, making them feel special and welcome. I have a special enthusiasm listening to the children which makes them feel truly unique and cared for.
